Sweet Barbeque
The Summer is coming and it’s nearly time to dust
off the barbeque, what’s better than sitting in the garden, and eating
half cooked chicken and burgers, burnt baked potatoes, and too many dips
to mention.
Well how many of you cook your puddings on there
too!! Not many I would say so here is a quick simple recipe to help you
along. Once you have tried
this, you will be begging for more and even cooking the chicken and
burgers in the oven to leave the bbq free for pudding.
BBQ Apple Crumble
In a medium bowl combine oatmeal, flour, brown
sugar, and cinnamon. Add some butter and work it in evenly with a fork
or your fingertips. The crumbles should be the size of peas. Stir in
some pecans. Set aside.
Cut the apples in half, brush the cut side of the
apples with the melted butter. Arrange the apples cut side down on the
grill and cook over Direct Medium heat for 20 minutes, turning once
halfway through grilling time. Remove from the grill.
Mound the topping over the cut side of the apples,
distributing evenly. Return apples to the grill and continue grilling
over Direct Medium heat until the topping is golden brown, about 6
minutes. Serve warm or at room temperature with the heavy cream drizzled
over the apples.
Go on you know you want to….
